First Day of Class Information
Greetings, future seafarer! We look forward to welcoming you to the first day of your new career!
Please carefully review the following information and call us prior to your first day if you have any questions.
Check-In Time
Please arrive early on your first day to get checked in.
- Arrive by 7:30 AM for day classes.
- Arrive between 5:00-5:30 PM for evening classes.
Location
Bluewater Maritime School has moved as of May 27, 2024!
The new address is 3787 Old Middleburg Road North, Jacksonville, Florida.

Dress Code
All students are expected to adhere by the following dress code while on campus:
- Maintain proper attire such as you would wear for your first day of work onboard a ship.
- All clothing must be clean and free from holes, rips, or stains.
- Clothing must fit appropriately (no skin-tight, short, or revealing clothing).
- PANTS:Â Jeans, sweats, or shorts are acceptable and must remain at waist level at all times. Shorts must be arm length or longer.
- SHOES:Â Boots, sneakers, or other closed-toe/closed-heel shoes are required. No crocs, slides, flip-flops, sandals, slippers, house shoes, or heels.
- SHIRTS: Clean t-shirts, crew necks, or hoodies are acceptable. No tank tops, tube tops, mid-drifts, low-cut tops, or muscle shirts.
Payment
Ordinary Seaman Program
- $462.50 enrollment fee (nonrefundable/non-transferable) due at registration
- $1387.50 tuition payment due two weeks before the first day of class.
- All other courses with non-refundable/non-transferable enrollment fees also must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to course commencingÂ
Note:Â If you’re currently attending and wish to reschedule one of the six classes, a $150 fee will apply for each individual class.
